Bugzilla question: CLOSED vs RESOLVED

Nikita Nemkin
Hi all,

I've a question regarding bugzilla: what's the difference between CLOSED and RESOLVED states? It seems that closed bugs can't be verified without going through resolved. Doesn't that make closed status useless?

Best regards,
Nikita Nemkin

Hi Nikita,

IIRC I tried to get rid of CLOSED a few years ago but several projects were using it in addition to RESOLVED.

Best regards, Lars

Hi

I agree. I don't use that status and prefer to e.g. see "VERIFIED FIXED".

Re: Bugzilla question: CLOSED vs RESOLVED

Alexander Fedorov
So, the "NEXT RELEASE" is a kind of "CLOSED" as there is no outgoing reference from there. Strange a bit, but very close to reality :)

AF

Yes. In addition, we have WORKSFORME, NOTECLIPSE etc.. which are all CLOSED main status. RESOLVED only when a fix was made,

Cheers,

Wim
