PR for this is being prepared as we speak and I believe bigger part will
be ready during the next next week. Switching jpa/eclipselink codebase
as such is not the problem, what is slowing this down are dependencies.

thanks,

an update I have is that 'jakartified' eclipselink has some test
failures which can/will be resolved by
https://github.com/eclipse-ee4j/injection-api/pull/13 and the work is
now on 'jakartifying' jersey - that should be the last dependency, which
is not available under 'jakarta' namespace yet.

thanks,

current latest docs (2.7?) should be copied over to 3.0 and here we
should update (where it makes sense):

* javax to jakarta
* Java EE to Jakarta EE
* references to other technologies (jaxb, jaxws, jaxrs etc) with their
new names (Jakarta XML Binding, Jakarta XML Web Services, Jakarta
RESTful Web Services etc)

we basically have to make sure that our docs follow
https://jakarta.ee/legal/acronym_guidelines/

that is likely the most important thing on the docs side which has to be
done.

thanks,

should update (where it makes sense):

* javax to jakarta
* Java EE to Jakarta EE
* references to other technologies (jaxb, jaxws, jaxrs etc) with their
new names (Jakarta XML Binding, Jakarta XML Web Services, Jakarta
RESTful Web Services etc)

we basically have to make sure that our docs follow
https://jakarta.ee/legal/acronym_guidelines/

that is likely the most important thing on the docs side which has to be
done.
