Re: Continuous-testing-plugin-discuss Digest, Vol 23, Issue 2

Ignacio Arrue
Hello,
I found a solution for my problem. First I tried with a fresh Eclipse installation. I created a new workspace and a project in it and 'continuous testing' plugin worked fine. Within this fresh Eclipse installation I switched to the workspace where I have my projects and 'continuous testing' did not show any activity (as described in my first message). I went to the .metadata directory and removed the .plugins directory. After restarting Eclipse, my projects where gone from the workspace. I imported them into the workspace and 'continuous testing' plugin began to work correctly.
I began using Eclipse for a couple of months, so I am not the plugin expert and I don't have an explanation for this behaviour. I supose some of the files or plugin settings within this .plugin directory of the workspace were incompatible with the plugin versions that the ct plugin uses: ct delivers some plugins with version 3.2.1:
- org.eclipse.jdt.junit_3.2.1
- org.eclipse.jdt.junit.runtime_3.2.1
- org.eclipse.pde.junit.runtime_3.2.1
The Eclipse 3.1 installation comes with version 3.1.0 of this plugins.

I hope this will help other people having this problem, and encourage them to keep using ct plugin, which I think is a very usefull plugin.

Thank you,

Ignacio.

dsaff
Ignacio,

Sometimes in similar situations, running with eclipse -clean can have a
similar effect.

The good news is that CT 2.0 will not have these problems, because it
will not replace the native Eclipse JUnit plug-ins.
