Re: memory browser reviews - cdt-dev Digest, Vol 141, Issue 6

McLachlan, Andrew

 Hi Jonah,

Thanks for reviewing our patches and providing feedback. We've provided updates for the bug fixes:

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=338545
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=338589
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=339289

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=338545 seems to be the only outstanding issue and I'm wondering what the best way is to push this one forward.

 >> https://wiki.eclipse.org/CDT/calls/Apr2017 : existing committers need to help newcomers and review patches and answer questions.

Any advice and help that you can offer us to speed up our patch acceptance etc. would be greatly appreciated. We're more than willing to contribute.

 Thanks in advance,

 Andrew (McLachlan)

Hi Andrew and Norm,

I am happy to review them. Thanks for bringing them up to date. I have started looking at them, but as we are one week out from RC1 of CDT
9.2 and I have a couple of critical things to get in (Bug 494246 is my current focus), it may wait a touch longer. Please ping me on or off list if you want an update of when I can get to them.

Jonah

Re: memory browser reviews - cdt-dev Digest, Vol 141, Issue 6

Jonah Graham
In Bug 338545, Alvaro has referred to internal code at Ericsson.

Alvaro, would you be able to open source the code mentioned [1]?
Perhaps if it was open sourced Andrew and Norman could adapt it for
general purpose and contribute that back to CDT?

Either way we can continue the discussion on the bug.

Re: memory browser reviews - cdt-dev Digest, Vol 141, Issue 6

McLachlan, Andrew
Hi Jonah,

Sounds like that is not going to be an option. We'd love to become (new) CDT committers, so if anyone can help move these code reviews along, that would be appreciated. We'd love to start contributing more to CDT.

Thanks in advance,

Andrew

Re: memory browser reviews - cdt-dev Digest, Vol 141, Issue 6

Tracy Miranda-3
Hi Andrew,

That is really great to hear. Thanks for stepping forward.

We are happy to help to keep things moving and get you onto being CDT committers.

For these 3 bugs my understanding is that all the reviews have been done we are just waiting on Norman to have some time to address them. If this is not the case please let me know.

Regards,
Tracy

Hi Jonah,

Sounds like that is not going to be an option. We'd love to become (new) CDT committers, so if anyone can help move these code reviews along, that would be appreciated. We'd love to start contributing more to CDT.

Thanks in advance,

Andrew

In Bug 338545, Alvaro has referred to internal code at Ericsson.

Alvaro, would you be able to open source the code mentioned [1]?
Perhaps if it was open sourced Andrew and Norman could adapt it for general purpose and contribute that back to CDT?

Either way we can continue the discussion on the bug.

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=338545 seems to be the only outstanding issue and I'm wondering what the best way is to push this one forward.
